How long does it take to open an account?

Accounts are usually opened the same or next day after your completed account forms are received. If you are in a hurry you can open your account online, or download the forms and fax them to us at 858-560-0704 and wire the funds. Wiring instructions are at the bottom of this page.

How about transferring my account to Heritage West?

Transferring an account is easy. Just fill out the transfer form in addition to the appropriate account forms. Your positions and cash balance will be transferred within a few days. No need to worry - you can exit any existing trades or initiate new trades in your new Heritage West account during the transfer process.

Opening an account is simple:

For U.S. citizens we offer a state-of-the-art online system that allows you to quickly, securely, and conveniently open an individual or joint futures trading account with Heritage West.

· Have forms mailed or faxed to you
From 7:00 am to 6:00 pm CTS you may call 800-263-3004 to have account forms mailed or faxed. After hours you can submit your request using this form.

· Download forms
Select the type of account from the list below. The form booklets are in Adobe pdf format to provide efficient and secure documentation. You will need the Adobe Reader to open and print the documents. If you do not have this program, click the icon below to download it.

Please include the following
with your account forms:
US CITIZENS - A copy of your driver's license, state issued ID card, passport, utility bill or similar documents. You must include at least one document with a number and your signature.

NON-US PERSONS - A copy of a passport, driver's license, valid government issued ID card or similar documents. You must include at least one document with a number and your signature.

CORPS OR PARTNERSHIPS - Articles of incorporation, good standing certificates, partnership agreements, business licenses or similar documents.

Please call us at 800-263-3004 if you wish to review your paperwork before you mail it to us. You may fax the signature pages you signed, but the original copies still have to be mailed to us. Mail or fax to:

· Funding Your Account

By Check:

Make all personal or cashiers checks payable to Vision. The name on your check should be the same as the name on your Vision/Heritage West account. For example, if you have a personal account and you sent in a business check, it will not be accepted - and vice versa. Checks from the joint bank account of a husband and wife will be accepted for an individual account in the name of either spouse.

Not accepted: Counter/starter checks, i.e., checks without the customer’s name and address pre-printed, third party checks or wires, checks drawn on a foreign bank account, check(s) in excess of $50,000, cashiers checks in excess of $20,000, and money orders. Mail checks to our office listed above.
