John Jensen, President, Heritage West Futures Heritage West Futures is owned and managed by its founder John C. Jensen. John’s experience in the futures industry began as a trader in the late 1970s. Within a short time, the financial markets were experiencing some of their most volatile times that saw $850 gold, $40 crude oil, and 20% interest rates. Equipped with 12 years of “in the trenches” trading experience, he joined the staff of a local brokerage firm as a futures specialist. In 1990, he founded Heritage West Financial, Inc. Under his guidance, Heritage West has grown to be an established and respected name in the futures and options industry.

During these past 25 years John has experienced and accommodated a full spectrum of economic environments. He has dealt with a wide variety of market factors, both predictable and unpredictable, from political factors to natural disasters and historic bull and bear markets. He has seen the birth of the financial futures markets such as the Treasury Bonds and S&P 500 futures, and the demise of contracts such as the Ginnie Mae.

John brings to Heritage West his extensive knowledge on the workings of the futures markets and is a valuable member of the Heritage West team. John authors Market News, the company’s newsletter and offers trading comments in the website’s Trading Room. As a futures specialist, John shares his insight on investment opportunities and is dedicated to providing superior, personalized service.

In his commitment to the futures industry, Mr. Jensen serves as president of the National Introducing Brokers Association (NIBA) and serves on both the Hearing and Nominating Committees of the National Futures Association (NFA).
